What is BOTOX®?
Botulinum toxin (commonly known under brand names such as Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin) is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure worldwide. It is used to inhibit facial muscle movement and reduce muscle volume. Botulinum toxin treatments are considered a safe and effective method.
Botulinum toxin itself is a neuroblocking agent that works by preventing nerve signals from reaching the muscles. This process relaxes the muscles, thereby reducing the appearance of expression lines. Anti-wrinkle treatments using botulinum toxin are highly effective in making the skin smoother and more youthful. The effects of botulinum toxin are not permanent; most people find that the muscle-relaxing effects last for about 3 to 4 months. Side effects are usually mild and may include temporary eyelid drooping, headaches, and bruising.

Can I get botox injections?
Botulinum toxin injections can effectively prevent or correct dynamic facial wrinkles, as well as reshape facial contours and leg shapes to achieve cosmetic effects. If you notice mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes and forehead and wish to have smoother, more youthful-looking skin, or if you have an enlarged masseter muscle or hypertrophic leg muscles, you may be a good candidate for this treatment.
Like any medical procedures, botulinum toxin injections have certain contraindications. They should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women; individuals with neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or multiple sclerosis; patients with ptosis (drooping eyelids); individuals taking aminoglycoside antibiotics; those who are extremely thin, as the injection may spread to surrounding muscles and cause side effects due to insufficient muscle volume; individuals with allergies to albumin or botulinum toxin; and patients with severe heart, liver, kidney, or lung diseases, as well as those with connective tissue disorders.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid, also known as uronic acid and hyaluronan, is a natural component of the dermis in the human body. Hyaluronic acid injections involve injecting it as a filler into areas with dermal folds, depressions, or areas that need volume enhancement, such as the lips, cheeks, nose bridge, chin, and scars. This provides an immediate wrinkle-reducing and facial contouring effect.
In the past, collagen was used as a structural framework within the dermis. To illustrate with an analogy, if building a house with reinforced concrete, collagen acts as the steel framework, while hyaluronic acid functions like the concrete poured around the steel bars. The expansion properties of hyaluronic acid help maintain the structure’s integrity. However, hyaluronic acid is gradually absorbed by the body over time, so to maintain the desired effects, periodic injections are necessary. If the injections are discontinued, the effects will gradually fade and eventually disappear completely.

Botulinum Toxin Combined with Hyaluronic Acid Can Enhance Your Beauty Even More.
Can I get filler injections?
Hyaluronic acid injections can be used to treat almost all facial imperfections. If you are dissatisfied with deep wrinkles, a sagging jawline, or facial hollowness and are looking for a non-invasive solution to enhance your youthful appearance and overall look, then you are a good candidate for hyaluronic acid injections.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients under the age of 18, individuals with inflamed or infected skin in the treatment area, and those taking anticoagulant medications face a high risk of swelling or bleeding from the injection. For example, individuals taking aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should exercise caution. It is recommended that doctors ask patients about any allergies to hyaluronic acid and review their medical history before administering the injection.
